Connelly School of the Holy Child is a Catholic, college prepararatory school, committed to the intellectual, spiritual, artistic, physical, and social development of young women in grades 6 through 12. Provide academic coaching to students of diverse backgrounds and abilties including ADHD, LD and GTLD.
Participate in the school community with other duties as assigned

Monitor and review grades and progress reports with students.
Active commitment to enhancing a school community through involvement on committees and in student life activities.
Create, plan, and teach study skills while meeting the needs of a diverse student population.
Continuously monitor grades and evaluate students progress in their courses through coaching.
Communicate with faculty regarding student accommodations and recommended instructional strategies.
Effectively and consistently communicates and interacts with students, parents, staff, and community.
Develops, selects, and differentiates instructional plans and materials to support students with executive function challenges and learning differences.
Provides an atmosphere and environment conducive to the intellectual, physical, social, and the emotional development of young women.
Ability to work collaboratively with administration and teaching staff.
Maintains appropriate records and follows required procedures and practices.
Integrates the use and care of equipment, materials, and facilities.
Support Learning Lab at least one afternoon a week.
The ideal candidate will possess:
Bachelor’s Degree in related field required with teaching experience in various levels of secondary education 6-12. Master’s Degree preferred; MSDE certification preferred
Teaching experience and interest in teaching study skills courses to all girls in a college preparatory catholic school for girls 6-12.
Ability to connect the curriculum to real-world scenarios and student background knowledge.

Experience using a variety of pedagogical strategies

About Connelly School of the Holy Child
Connelly School of the Holy Child Founded in 1961 by the Society of the Holy Child Jesus as a college preparatory school for girls grade 6-12. The school is part of a network of 33 Holy Child schools in the United States, Europe and Africa, which is guided by the educational philosophy of Cornelia Connelly. Holy Child enrolls approximately 300 students every year from the Washington, DC metropolitan area as well as across the globe. Holy Child creates a personal learning experience with an 8 to 1 student to faculty ratio and offers fine arts programs as well as competitive sports teams in soccer, field hockey, volleyball, basketball, cross country lacrosse and more.
