The Philadelphia School seeks a Development Operations Manager. This position reports to the Director of Development and is an essential member of the Institutional Advancement team. She/he is directly responsible for the management and execution of all development office operations including database maintenance and enhancement, donor research, and campaign pipeline management support.
The Development Operations Manager will collaborate with the Institutional Advancement team and all faculty and staff to advance the overall mission of TPS.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
In partnership with the Director of Development, establish, document, and ensure proper compliance with operating procedures and policies for donor record management.
In collaboration with Director of Development, serve as campaign pipeline manager responsible for all reporting and analytics regarding major gift prospects.
Complete data scrub of top prospects and key constituents in database.
Track all communications and interactions with campaign related prospects.
Conduct preliminary research on prospective corporations, foundations, and individual donors.
Develop event attendee briefings for Head of School, Director of Institutional Advancement and Director of Development as requested.
Create and develop reports for the Head of School, Director of Institutional Advancement and Director of Development as requested.
Ensure the integrity and accuracy of the donor database, including foundation, corporation, and individual donor files.
Serve as liaison and communicator across all systems used by TPS (Senior Systems, School Admin, Give Campus, etc).
Serve as back-up Gift Processor during peak giving seasons (December/January and May/June).
Bachelor's degree in a related field.
A minimum of three years' experience in an administrative position, preferably in a not-for-profit development office.
Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to multitask.
Knowledge & Skills Requirements:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and competent understanding of the Senior Systems database or equivalent.
Adhere to strict confidentiality of prospect and donor information.
Must be diplomatic, flexible, resourceful, dependable, well-organized, friendly, and professional. Must be able to work effectively with multiple supervisors, balance and prioritize multiple requests.
Must demonstrate ability to complete assigned project tasks on time and with minimal supervision.
Ability to work occasional nights and weekends for Advancement event support.
