St. Paul Academy and Summit School is a coeducational, college preparatory day school for students in kindergarten through grade 12. The school serves approximately 920 students from throughout the metropolitan area of Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minnesota.
St. Paul Academy and Summit School seeks candidates for a long-term substitute in Middle School Math. The position is full time and begins on about January 21, 2019 and concludes May 6, 2019. Candidates should bring experience teaching and engaging middle school students across all foundational math content areas, including pre-algebra, geometry, and Algebra I. Training and experience working with middle school students in Math in Focus/Singapore Math is desired, as is willingness to receive training in advance of the start date.
Candidates should demonstrate the ability to create developmentally appropriate curricula, establish a supportive and engaging classroom environment for students, and work collaboratively with colleagues and parents/guardians. Successful candidates will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills. In addition, candidates should be able to advise students effectively and otherwise contribute to the life of the school outside the classroom. Training and experience in Developmental Designs for Middle School preferred.
