GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Director of International Academy Admissions is responsible for the development and accomplishment of the institution’s overall international recruiting mission to include retention and oversight of those marketing functions related to recruiting for the Academy. The Director of International Academy Admissions provides support to the principal designated school official (PDSO) in addition to managing communications from inquiry through commission payments. This position also reports to the Senior Staff on enrollment and industry trends and develops a strategic plan to advance the school’s mission to promote revenue, profitability, and growth as an international organization.
Recruit and enroll international students for the Academy. Focus on the international recruitment and partnership programs that will target all international students for the Academy.
Follow up with the Enrollment/Admissions/Recruiting needs for International and foreign students in addition to the PDSO for the Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS) compliance officer to maintain the school’s ability to host F1 students. Work closely with the VFMAC PDSO.
Manage and process F1 visa issued to international students. Advising on compliance/record keeping, agent communication, recruitment and enrollment/admission activity (i.e. ZOHO/CRM mass email and record-keeping, phone activity, appointments, interviews, new working applicants and work with current international on Federal requirements).
Develop and implementation an international marketing, enrollment and retention plan
Participate in application evaluation and admission decisions.
Serve as a liaison and SEVIS expert between Admissions, PDSO, and other offices. Continuous education on Federal SEVIS Compliance.
Travel when needed or required to support events and to recruit prospective students. This will include regular international and domestic travel (30-50%)
Other reasonable related duties as defined as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
A Bachelor’s Degree with multi-year experience in SEVIS practice, leadership, management, recruitment, sales, marketing, communications, strategic planning, negotiating, international travel, multi-cultures, and change management.
Must have boarding school and/or secondary school recruiting experience.
Must have international recruiting experience.
Ability to develop enrollment plans and manage resources.
Ability to relate technical information into simple principles and practices that students and their families can understand.
Knowledge of communication and mass email techniques.
Highly effective interpersonal skills, including the ability to speak persuasively and accurately about the programs of Valley Forge Military Academy and College.
Ability to interact in a highly professional manner with individual prospective students and their parents.
Work requires training regular to be knowledgeable of Federal requirements to maintain policies that protect the school and students in terms of SEVIS system.
Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to analyze and interpret financial data.
Ability to work well with various groups and individuals across campus and community.
Ability to organize logistical and operational challenges.
