St. Anne's Episcopal School, an outstanding PreSchool - 8th grade school seeks a spirited and talented educator to serve as a 6th - 8th grade Spanish teacher within the mission and core values of the school. The teacher will be responsible for teaching 5-6 sections of Spanish, totaling 22 - 24 periods per week. Interest in leading international student travel to Spanish speaking communities and the ability to coach soccer, basketball, baseball, cross country, or lacrosse would be especially welcomed. Ideal candidates would have the following credentials: • A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree • Prior teaching experience in a Middle School classroom • Fundamental understanding of the developmental stages in the social, emotional, and academic lives of Middle School students • Knowledge of the best practices in curriculum instruction in Spanish • A passion for the Spanish language and culture and fluency in the language• Comfort using technology • The ability to teach Spanish effectively • Strong interpersonal and writing skills • Interest in leading daily homeroom devotions and participation in Chapel experiences based on the Episcopal tradition of welcoming all cultures and faiths • Willingness to coach up to two seasons of athletics • Candidates who embrace experiences that celebrate diversity and service learning are encouraged to apply.
