On behalf of the Board of Trustees, we eagerly announce the start of our Head of School Search for Malden Catholic High School. Given that leadership is vital to the continued success of any Catholic school, the search for a new school leader is being treated with the utmost significance. The Board of Trustees has formed a diverse search committee of 14 individuals to help find a new, visionary leader to build upon the current accomplishments at Malden Catholic.
The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker and an individual committed to Catholic, codivisional education. He/She will be a proven, effective communicator who firmly understands the diplomacy required to work with a varied constituent group. The successful candidate must appreciate the story and culture of the Malden Catholic community and be committed to working in a collaborative environment for the benefit of all our wonderful students.
Dr. Patrick Slattery, Executive Director of the Xaverian Brothers Sponsored Schools, is conducting the search on behalf of the Board of Trustees and the Search Committee. Please direct cover letters and resumes to email@example.com;
Please include an educational philosophy, preferably with some mention to how your philosophy aligns with the Malden Catholic Codivisional model; and include a list of references (references will only be contacts if you are a semi-finalist). About Malden Catholic High School
Since 1932, Malden Catholic, a Xaverian Brothers sponsored school, has established itself as a private, college-preparatory high school for boys. Located less than 10 miles north of Boston, MC serves a diverse group of students from 42 surrounding towns. In fall of 2018, MC will be opening its doors to serve girls and will establish itself as a co-divisional Catholic school offering single-gender education to nearly 700 students. Malden Catholic will be harkening back to our roots, as for nearly 60 years, Malden Catholic had a successful sister school (Girls Catholic) serving girls in the area into the 1990s. MC recently concluded a highly successful $25 million capital campaign and is planning a $7.5 million renovation to house the Girls’ Division.
