Alexandria Country Day School, a non-sectarian, K-8, independent school in Alexandria, Virginia, serving approximately 185 students, seeks an experienced professional to serve as its next Director of Admission & Financial Aid.
The Director of Admission & Financial Aid serves as part of the Advancement team and is responsible for recruiting a diverse and talented population of students. The Director represents the School’s educational program to prospective students and parents, builds relationships with sending schools and educational consultants, stewards prospective families through the application and admission process, manages the selection process, and administers financial aid. A key member of the administrative team, the Director of Admission & Financial Aid works closely with the Director of Advancement and the Head of School to set and pursue school-wide strategies around enrollment and marketing. The Director also supervises and works collaboratively with a full-time Admission Associate.
Candidates should possess a B.A. degree, three or more years of admission experience in an independent school or college setting, and excellent written and oral communication skills. The successful candidate will be highly organized and detail oriented, and have strong interpersonal skills.
