Milton Hershey School (MHS) is seeking a Director of Admissions to inspire change and achieve enrollment growth goals. MHS currently enrolls almost 2,100 Pre-K through 12th grade students from lower-income settings. The School is expanding to serve 2,300 students. In this unique role, the Director of Admissions oversees three teams of individuals responsible for recruiting and assessing student applications for lower-income students whom are under the age of 16. Currently, MHS annually receives approximately 7,000 inquiries, over 4,000 applications and enrolls approximately 400 on a rolling basis.
-Ensuring enrollment goals are met through setting new direction and implementing innovative strategies. -Leading student recruitment which includes developing and implementing results-driven marketing strategies. -Overseeing the application processing function to ensure customer-focused and streamlined processes. -Guiding the assessment team to utilize effective assessment practices and processes. -Overseeing student records retention. -Conducting statistical and data analysis and providing insights and recommendations based on the findings. -Collaborating closely with the Senior Director of Enrollment and Family Relations to set direction and lead change. -Lead over 25 employees. -Planning and oversight of budgets. -Collaborating extensively within the MHS Campus Community to engage and inspire. -Representing Enrollment Management to internal and external stakeholders.
-Master’s degree in Education, Marketing, Psychology or an applicable field. -At least 5 years’ experience leading a recruiting function through change and innovation. -Demonstrated success in developing and implementing strategic plans and achieving goals. -Demonstrated expertise in conducting statistical analysis, data analysis, forecasting and identifying innovation opportunities. -Expertise in utilizing Excel, databases, and records management software. -Exceptional communication skills to inspire others including verbal, written and platform. -Exceptional leadership skills including demonstrated competencies in leading others, change management, and collaborating for results. -Experience marketing to or recruiting from lower-income a plus. -Candidates should be willing to actively engage with students. -Candidates should demonstrate a high degree of integrity as all MHS staff are considered to be role models for MHS.
