The Assistant Registrar contributes to the functions and operations of the Office of the Registrar in supporting the mission of the school and providing support to students, parents, faculty, staff and alumni.
Manage the process for the production of official and unofficial academic transcripts, including requests by current students, former students, colleges, employers and others.
Assist in maintaining the health and functionality of the SIS/ERP as it relates to transcripts and transcript functionality, including updating technical and procedural documentation.
Process third-party student enrollment, graduation verification, and diploma replacement requests.
Produce analytical and operational reports to support departmental functions; write ad hoc reports for other internal constituencies, as requested.
Support the ongoing maintenance of the degree audit program, which evaluates student progress toward graduation requirements.
In conjunction with the Dean of Academic Affairs, manage the process for entering grades, teacher comments and adviser comments at the three term marking periods and serve as a resource for teachers and advisers during the grading process.
Coordinate the new student course registration process, including course selection, new student questionnaire and placement tests.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure relevant and accurate displays of student and faculty information across all systems, including but not limited to ExeterConnect, Lion Links, Canvas, OLS, the parent portal and the public website.
Provide course registration and scheduling support at peak periods throughout the year.
Assume other projects and duties as assigned.
Three + years’ progressively responsible relevant experience in secondary or higher education administration and records management.
Three + years’ experience with FERPA regulations as related to student records.
Three+ years’ experience with degree audit, classroom scheduling and student information (SIS) systems.
Demonstrated experience assessing business processes and integrating new technology into office procedures and processes.
Experience working with adolescents in an educational setting preferred.
