Bullis School seeks energetic and dynamic candidates to teach Upper School and Middle School French as a long-term substitute from May 2019 through June 2019 (exact dates to be determined). The ideal candidate will have demonstrated success as a middle and/or high school French teacher and have collaborated with colleagues in lesson design and planning. This position involves teaching four sections of French at levels I and III. Bullis teachers embrace our core educational values – Critical Thinking, Collaboration, Creativity, Communication, and Resourcefulness – and work to embed the skills into the curriculum. Successful foreign language teachers at Bullis are energized by curriculum development and are grounded in current research on second language acquisition. They thoughtfully use technology to blend learning and engage students in active, experiential, and hands-on learning. Qualified candidates will possess at minimum an undergraduate degree in French with a graduate degree in French or related fields preferred. Teaching certificates are not required.
