Germantown Academy, located in Fort Washington, Pennsylvania, is seeking qualified, experienced candidates for the position of Upper School Physical Education Teacher, beginning January, 2019. This is a long-term substitute position which offers an excellent array of benefits and concludes in June 2019. The Academy, founded in 1759, is a non-sectarian, coeducational, college preparatory school of more than 1,100 students in Grades PK-12, located in the northwest suburbs of Philadelphia on a campus of 126 acres.

BS in Physical Education or related field
Minimum 2 years teaching experience
Ability to teach students in coed classes in grades 9 – 12 in both team and individual activities
Ability to teach students in Health & Wellness
Assist in the maintenance the Physical Education VLE Page
Flexibility to work in conjunction with Middle and Lower school Physical Education programs
Willingness to work collaboratively with members of the Upper School Physical Education Department and Administration.
Interest in being an active participant in School life in meaningful ways like participation in House Olympics, Middle School Greek Day, Lower School Field Day.
