The Director of Leadership Annual Giving is responsible for setting strategic direction, executing, and managing all aspects of the School's entire annual giving program, including direct mail programs, social media campaigns, giving societies, online giving, parent participation program, young alumni participation program and a potential giving day. Responsible for the annual giving fundraising goal of over $2M.
The Director of Leadership Annual Giving will oversee at least one staff member and help conceive, design, and drive effective cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies to increase Annual Giving results. The Director will be a champion of data-driven decision making with creative solutions that meet fundraising goals. This role also includes development of in-depth strategic analysis of program performance and monitoring of trends and key program metrics. The Director is responsible for implementing an ambitious and strategic plan that expands and diversifies our donor base, generates a “ground-swell” of support at all levels, with the potential to engage and motivate all potential donors, grow revenue through small gifts from a large base, and create a pipeline of prospects for future large gifts (in the $5,000-$50,000 range). This position serves as the strategy lead for expanding our efforts with stewardship, recurring giving, leadership annual giving, as well as current parent, current student and recent alumni engagement and giving. The Director will assist and lead with deliverables and strategy to ensure the success of the Development team's annual giving efforts and the Advancement department as a whole. Bachelor’s degree. Master’s degree in Marketing preferred.
Eight (8) years related experience or equivalent combination. Must include experience with annual fund, volunteer management, frontline fundraising, and staff supervision.
Two (2) years utilizing data to create strategies, goals, and outcomes.
Experience leading a program from concept and strategy to execution and analysis.
Experience securing buy-in and support from stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability and knowledge of annual giving and fundraising efforts within complex organizations.
Demonstrated ability and knowledge of team management strategies and best practices.
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs and preference for experience with Raiser’s Edge.
Knowledge of and demonstrated ability to understand data, data trends, and data analysis to make decisions and strategies.
Ability to maintain a high level of poise, reflecting the highest standards of professional conduct and integrity in all circumstances.
