There is an opening for a Middle School Director at Fayetteville Academy, for the 2019-20 school year. This position is a full-time, 12-month position and will begin July 1, 2019. The person in this position serves as a member of the school’s senior administrative team and reports directly to the head of School.
The position’s primary responsibility will be the oversight of all Middle School operations, including student matters, employee hiring, evaluation and oversight, curriculum development, and budgeting. The successful candidate will possess prior experience in middle school education. Problem solving skills, critical thinking skills, sense of humor, enthusiasm, and collaborative skills are also important for this position. Effective communication with students, parents, colleagues and active participation in the expectations of the school are essential.
The successful candidate will have at least a bachelor’s degree (with a master’s degree preferred). Independent school experience is also preferable.
