The Wardlaw+Hartridge School, located in Edison, New Jersey, seeks a full time sixth grade Humanities teacher for the 2019-2020 school year.
Collegial and engaging educators with experience and interest in the middle grades are encouraged to apply. Commitment to a highly collaborative and diverse community of learners is essential. This sixth grade Humanities position includes sections of English and World History taught using an essential question framework. The sixth grade Humanities program incorporates the study of literature, religion, culture, geography, civics, social science, and the arts. The position will also include teaching one elective course (drama, theater, or similar) which meets approximately once each week. The selected candidate will participate fully in the life of the Wardlaw+Hartridge School, including serving as a grade level advisor, effectively collaborating with colleagues, engaging in a continual cycle of professional development, actively joining meetings, committees, service learning, field trips, and other community gatherings, and working to uphold the mission and vision of the school. Coaching experience a plus.

A master's degree and at least 3 years of teaching experience is preferred.
