St. Andrew’s Episcopal School in Austin, TX seeks a Lower School Admissions Officer. St. Andrew’s Episcopal School is a dynamic learning community serving and supporting the needs of 950 students from grades Kindergarten through 12. The Admissions Office team is the initial contact for prospective families and thus must present St. Andrew’s mission and educational philosophy professionally and effectively at all times. The Admissions team works to enroll a diverse group of mission-appropriate students who embrace and demonstrate our core values. The LS Admissions Officer is a core member of the admission team whose main role is to support admission events and activities related to the admissions process in the Lower School, grades Kindergarten through 5.
The Lower School Admissions Officer will be expected to:
Articulate the mission of St. Andrew’s in a professional and detailed manner.
Welcome and assist prospective families through the admissions process and conduct school tours.
Respond to email and telephone inquiries in a timely, professional and detailed manner.
Schedule tours, prospective student visits, parent interviews and other admission related events.
Coordinate student visits with teachers and assist in literacy and math assessments.
Serve as the assistant to the Director of Enrollment Management as well as provide administrative support as needed to the admissions team.
Work closely with our tech team to create applications and enrollment contracts as well as maintain database integrity ensuring that data is entered correctly using established protocols.
Assist with marketing projects, including taking photographs, creating newsletters and other social media campaigns, monitoring on-line platforms and managing the admissions website page.
Represent St. Andrew’s at recruitment fairs, Open House events, and other internal and external admission events.
Coordinate mentor families and provide support for new families during their transition to the school community.
Other duties as assigned.

Ability to manage deadline and prioritize work appropriately.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Availability to work weekends and evenings for admission related events.
One to three years of experience in an admissions office or independent school.
Experience working with children from ages 4 to 12 in an independent school setting.
Experience with Blackbaud, specifically the Enrollment Management progam, our admissions database.
