Pembroke Hill School, a 100+ year independent school located near the Country Club Plaza, seeks an enthusiastic and creative Performing Arts/Drama teacher, beginning in the fall of 2019. This teacher should have a passion for working with young people, a willingness to work in a collegial setting, and a vision for a growing theatre department. Major Areas of Responsibility:
-Teach four classes and direct two/three theater productions throughout the year.
- Upper School Thespian Club sponsor -Map, execute, and assess departmental curriculum in collaboration with faculty and administration.
Position requires a BA or BFA in Theatre or related field; experience teaching and directing high school actors; attendance at monthly faculty and department meetings; good communication skills and an open, collaborative nature. Expertise in technical theatre or other performing arts fields (instrumental, dance, etc.) a plus.
