Position Title: Senior Graphic and Digital Designer
Mission/Goal of the Position:The Senior Graphic Designer will act as a visual storyteller for consumer marketing and Hill School communication campaigns. The Designer will possess a diverse skillset to plan and produce engaging and compelling creative publications and digital designs for a variety of platforms. The Designer will join the branding and creative team that is responsible for ensuring that all marketing strategies are uniform to meet user’s expectations.
Summary of the Position - Key Results Area
The Senior Graphic and Digital Designer will create compelling, brand-aligned visuals, in digital and print, to differentiate The Hill in the marketplace. The Designer will understand the brand experience and its impact on consumer marketing and Hill School communications. The Designer will collaborate with the creative team to initiate brainstorming sessions and generate creative concepts that result in high quality print and digital products that engage our constituents and elevate the brand.
Essential Priorities of the Position
In partnership with the creative team the Designer will help to develop and create comprehensive digital, web, mobile, and print pieces such as such as newsletters, fundraising proposals, event invitations, and other design-related projects, as assigned. The pieces will be used to enhance the user experience and elevate The Hill’s reputation with prospective families, alumni, parents, and friends of the School.
The Designer will partner with the creative team to develop and design email campaigns using HTML/CSS. He/she will design, proof, schedule, and track email performance. The Designer will also assist in developing innovative online strategies that generate brand engagement and maximizes The Hill’s digital footprint. Expertise with LinkedIn, Facebook/Instagram Ads, Google AdWords, and Google Analytics is preferred.
The Designer will ensure high quality and consistency in all of The Hill’s internal and external communications. The Designer will be a driving force behind how The Hill brand is presented across a variety of channels including print and online campaigns, as well as all digital platforms.

Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in graphic design/multi-media communications or related field involving graphic and digital design. A minimum of five (5) years of experience including designing in multiple channels.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite.
Build and code email campaigns using HTML/CSS.
Premiere/Final Cut Pro or iMovie, After Effects, Encoder and Audition would be a bonus.
Must submit a portfolio of work.
Self-motivated, extremely collaborative and curious about people, experiences, communications, and innovative ways to form brand-to-constituent connections.
The skill to manage a large workload including several projects/activities at one time, work under pressure and still meet deadlines, effectively incorporate feedback, and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
Superior organizational, time management, oral and written communication skills.
Must be able to exercise good judgment and handle confidential matters with discretion.
The ability to work evenings and weekends as needed for events and other initiatives.
