We currently have a part-time opening for a Classroom Aide for the BeeSchool PreSchool (3 year-olds) and After School Care teacher. This caring individual will have a presence in our BeeSchool classroom from 12p.m. - 3p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, assisting in the implementation of daily activities and program curriculum. From 3p.m. - 5:30p.m. Monday – Friday, Upland is looking for this responsible individual to supervise students participating in our After School Care Program.
Ensure a safe, healthy, and developmentally appropriate learning environment where every child feels emotionally secure and has a strong sense of belonging.
Assist in planning and implementing daily lessons/activities that follow the classroom’s Daily Schedule and Upland’s curriculum guidelines that inspire creativity and encourage exploration.
Provide diligent supervision of all children that fosters social/emotional development and guide each individual towards positive classroom behaviors.
Establish and maintain partnerships with parents and families that promote open communication, as well as support the child’s development and learning.
Maintain required program documents and staff training.
Minimum of High School Diploma
Must be at least 18 years of age
Minimum of 2 years of experience working in Early Education (ages 0 – 5 years)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Collaborative worker and great member to a team
Able to react quickly and calmly in a variety of situations, as well as multi-task
Current Pediatric First Aid and Infant/Child CPR certification
Knowledge of ,and familiarity with, PA State Rules & Regulations for Child Care Centers put forth by the Office of Child Development and Early Learning (OCDEL)
