Ivy Magnus Chinese American Int’l School (IMCA) is seeking a handful of talented middle school educators to create a unique American based PK through 8thgrade school for Chinese students outside the city of Ningbo (south of Shanghai, China). The school will open in September 2019 with a pilot program for students in grades 5 through 7 during construction phase of the campus. The full campus for over 700 students will be completed for the 2021 to 2022 school year.
We are seeking confident, talented, and creative teachers who will thrive in a setting for which educational leadership and camaraderie will be exceptional. The pilot program will be a unique opportunity for middle school teachers who are interested both in teaching and in creating an inspirational educational setting for students and families. This will become a one of a kind opportunity for teachers interested in pursuing future opportunities in educational leadership.
Candidates with the following skills and experiences will be strongly considered:
Prior Middle School teaching experience in more than one subject area;
Evidence of outstanding teaching skills;
Experience in creating, developing, and leading Middle School educational programs;
Evidence of working effectively with a group of educators for a larger purpose;
Experience working in China, or in a country outside the United States- (Note: knowledge of Chinese language is helpful, but not required);
Predispositions for adventure, for hard work, for independence, and for inspiration.
