Whitfield School is seeking an energetic teacher of drama and English to support the school’s international program in a mainstream independent school in Beijing, China (Shunyi district). Start date is August 15, 2019. Applicants must be native English speakers.
Whitfield’s international program in China aims to integrate the strengths of both the Chinese and American educational systems and values as it prepares graduates to matriculate to universities and colleges in the west.
Location: Beijing, China
Language: Native English Speaker (proficiency in Mandarin not required)
Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher
Work experience: demonstrated competence in teaching drama and high school English (preferably two or more years of teaching experience)
Salary: Competitive based on experience. Bonus equal to two additional months’ salary for each teaching contract period
Airfare: One round-trip international airfare (to and from China) for each 11-month teaching contract period
Time of Contract: 11-month, renewable
