Holy Innocents’ Episcopal School is seeking an experienced Early Childhood Teaching Assistant in the Alan A. Lewis Primary School for a kindergarten or pre-kindergarten classroom. This is a part-time position for the 2019-2020 academic year.

Skills and Abilities Required
Demonstrate a proactive and dynamic teaching style.
Work collaboratively with classroom lead teachers and the Primary School team to innovate instructional programs and teaching methods.
Use differentiated instruction to reach all types of learners.
Deliver student-centered teaching, positive classroom management and imaginative assessment methods.
Provide assistance and instruction to students in a pre-kindergarten or kindergarten classroom.
Develop lesson plans and monitor student performance.
Collaborate with colleagues to enhance instructional activities and environment.
Update and maintain student academic records and performance metrics.
Communicate regularly with parents and colleagues regarding student progress.
Educational and Other Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in early childhood education or related field.
Prior experience as a teacher in the primary school grades, preferably in an academic environment.
Successful completion of pre-employment background screening, drug testing and safety training required.
