Hutchison School seeks a full?time high school biology teacher to teach honors and advanced honors. Candidates should be conversant with both the discipline of biology and current instructional practices in teaching science. A comfort with applying a variety of teaching strategies, assessment tools, and inquiry-oriented classroom practices is a must. Successful applicants will possess the interpersonal and professional skills to collaborate with other teachers, engage girls, and promote an enthusiasm for learning in the field of science
The ideal candidate will have experience teaching biology in an independent school setting and will be comfortable teaching girls in a student-centered environment. A Bachelor’s degree is required and advanced degrees are preferred. Candidates should be passionate about both the field of science and the development of adolescent learners.
