Léman is seeking a dynamic and experienced Associate Director of Admissions for the Upper School to coordinate all aspects of the admissions process for 6th-12th grade. The primary responsibilities of this highly visible position include:
Coordinating outreach in the community to generate interest in Léman’s program, working closely with preschool directors, educational consultants and local educational organizations
Planning and leading admissions events for parents and prospective students, including tours, open houses, seasonal community events, and receptions/playdates for admitted and enrolled families
Managing the applicant pool, including application and file review, conducting parent interviews, coordinating applicant visits and assessments
Overseeing the Student Ambassador Program to provide support with events and serve as a resource to parents applying to Léman
Presenting candidates for admission to Admissions Committee
Representing Léman Manhattan within the independent school community at events and conferences
Bachelor’s degree and knowledge of early childhood/elementary education
Minimum of three years’ experience in NYC admissions/exmissions
Strong marketing sensibility, with demonstrated success in enrollment growth
Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
Ability to collaborate well with faculty, administrators, and parents
Strong organizational skills
Consistent and timely follow-up
