Job Summary: BB&N is seeking a junior varsity rowing coach. Duties include all aspects of team organization, including practice planning and working closely with the other coaches on staff. Additional responsibilities include driving a coaching launch, basic knowledge of river traffic and boating rules/safety, and assisting the varsity programs when needed. We are looking for enthusiastic coaches that will teach the basics of the rowing stroke to novice (or very new to the sport) rowers, while also maintaining a fun and welcoming environment. The primary goal is to create retention in the program from year to year. Attendance of all practices, home and away matches is a must. The expectation for coaches is to operate within the athletic philosophy of BB&N and within the rules and guidelines of the Independent School League (ISL) and the New England Preparatory School Athletic Council (NEPSAC). A current certification in CPR is required.
