St. Martin’s Episcopal School seeks a culturally competent and responsive faculty member to teach Elementary School for the 2019-2020 academic school year. This position will likely teach 1st or 2nd grade and work closely with an Elementary School Teaching Assistant.
Candidates must have the ability and interest in working with elementary aged children, and 3-5 years of classroom experience is preferred. A Bachelor’s Degree is required; Master’s Degree preferred. An understanding of Elementary Education is required, and the ideal candidate will have a genuine ability to “connect” with students. Desire to plan and work collaboratively on a team is essential. Faculty must be willing to actively participate in committees and school-life outside the classroom. Interest in coaching and/or advising clubs is a plus. This is a full-time position with benefits.
