Headwaters School, a Pre-K through grade 12 independent day school serving 540 students across its three campuses in Austin, TX, is seeking a Long-Term English Substitute Teacher in our Middle & High School for the 2019 Spring Semester. Our ideal candidate will have experience teaching English, a flexible schedule, and a willingness to work with limited notice. About this Position: Substitute Teachers are responsible for providing and implementing the daily lesson plans according to the School's requirements. In addition, they are charged with managing the classroom environment, providing activities, materials, and promoting student learning in the absence of the regular classroom teacher. Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree required, degree in English preferred
- Prior experience teaching in a Middle/High School, required

- Experience with upper level ELA or IB preferred

- Ability to maintain effective classroom management strategies
