The primary function of the Campaign Manager for Harbor Day School is to assist the director of development with managing donor communications and interactions with senior leadership while providing comprehensive administrative support for the school’s capital campaign. The duties are varied, and will include: drafting and managing correspondence, donor interactions, calendar, telephone, logistics management, and other administrative duties. Collaborating with the Development team, the Campaign Manager is tasked with supporting the capital campaign for Harbor Day School among all donor constituents during the quiet phase and into the community phase.
This position works closely with, and provides administrative support to the Director of Development in the following ways:
Compose and edit correspondence, reports, agenda and memoranda for volunteer, prospect, and donor constituencies.
Significant client follow up activities including meeting arrangements, mailings, correspondence and ‘concierge’ services.
Work closely, efficiently and effectively with internal teams (development, faculty and staff, administration), leadership (Board of Trustees, Parent Council), and external families, organizations, and community groups.
Maintain the database, generate reports and enter meeting notes, followup actions and assignments.
Assist in the preparation of all cultivation and solicitation materials .
Manage production of proposals, solicitation packets, informational materials, etc.
Schedule appointments for cultivation, solicitation and stewardship.
Coordinate the campaign calendar.
Provide prospect research.
Assist with the preparation and implementation of campaign-related communications.
Coordinate logistics for Campaign Cabinet and division meetings, cultivation events, campaign kickoff and celebration.
Some weekend and late-night work will be required based on the annual development and school calendar.

Bachelor’s degree in arts/non-profit administration, business or related field.
Minimum of five years’ related work experience. Prior campaign experience preferred.
Excellent communication skills, including superior written and spoken communication.
Highly organized with a demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize to deadlines.
Strong interpersonal and client service skills, demonstrated with superiors, donors, and peers.
Exceptional at building and maintaining relationships.
High level of diplomacy and ability to remain calm in stressful situations
Positive, problem solving attitude.
Knowledge of Raiser’s Edge highly preferred, other CRM software considered.
Knowledge of email, spreadsheet, word processing and presentation software (Microsoft Office preferred); creative suite software knowledge a plus.
