The assistant coach will report to the head coach, director of athletics, and collaborates with all program stakeholders: assistant coaches, athletes, faculty/staff andparents. The position manages all aspects of a competitive varsity softball program.
Direct coaching responsibilities inclusive of: program organization, practice planning, and game preparation
Support KO commitment to student athletes through prioritization of student academic success, character development and involvement with the campus community at-large
Foster program cohesion grades 6-12
Work with admissions department to front the recruiting of quality student athletes to KO
Provide guidance to student athletes engaged in the NCAA recruitment process
Administrative tasks including but not limited to: prepare and update team rosters, oversee individual and team stats, provide game wrap ups to media outlets and KO personnel, utilize game filming.
Assist in providing end of season collection of information, uniforms and award winners
Assist with seasonal awards ceremony
Other duties as assigned by Athletic Director and Head Coach
Work Experience/Job Requirements:
Proven experience in coaching softball
