The Academy at Penguin Hall, a college preparatory school for young women in grades 9-12, seeks a creative, dynamic, Mathematics Teacher with experience teaching all levels of math from Algebra 1 through Calculus. A candidate with experience developing and teaching math electives beyond traditional mathematics offerings is highly desired. The ideal candidate sees the benefit of a holistic student-centered approach to education and is able to provide a rich, differentiated learning environment for students that promotes creative problem-solving and thinking skills.
Full-time faculty members at The Academy teach five classes and serve as faculty advisors and club and activity sponsor outside of the classroom. Candidates with independent school experience, a commitment to staying up to date on current pedagogical practices within their discipline, and a desire to create interdisciplinary curriculum are strongly encouraged to apply.
