In cooperation with the Administrative Team, the Music Teacher is responsible for developing and implementing the instructional program in accordance with the School’s mission, goals, objectives and philosophy of learning.
Create developmentally appropriate lesson plans and instructional materials for Kindergarten through Grade
Teach music classes for each grade (K-6) twice a
In collaboration with colleagues, integrate the music program across the curriculum and assist with classroom plays and performances whenever
Work collaboratively with colleagues in the development of curriculum, integration, teaching methods and instructional
Lead Bluestars, the school-wide volunteer
Develop a positive relationship, attitude/rapport with students, parents and
Monitor student performance and behavior.
Keep consistent, reliable records, including, but not limited to, daily attendance, individual student records, report cards and permanent
Maintenance and care of the classroom, as well as maintaining inventory of classroom textbooks, teaching materials, equipment and
Attend community meetings, faculty meetings, open houses, professional development opportunities and in-service
Bachelor’s Degree in music
Experience working with students ages 5 through 13 Strong personal and interpersonal skills
