Oversee curriculum for diocesan review and periodic updates.
Lead department meetings; provide copies of minutes for theology faculty and Principal.
Build and maintain collaborative relationships with colleagues, SMA Administration,
Admissions Office personnel, and parents.
Theology Teacher - Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Teach full block and half block classes as well as independent study classesI the following subjects:
Theology 3 (Social Justice and Ethics),
Desire to work with adolescent students and to partner with parents in the education of their student.
Master’s degree in Theology and Sacred Scripture preferred.
5 years of teaching experience in secondary Catholic education or equivalent.
Knowledge of and experience in teaching Hebrew and Christian Scriptures, Social Justice, Ethics, Sacraments, Philosophy, and Ancient Texts that include those of Primal religions,
Hinduism, Buddhism, Confucianism, Taoism, and Islam.
Demonstrated use of classroom technology using student-centered pedagogy.
Professional development in theology studies, social justice activism, current classroom pedagogy methods and technology.
Teacher certification and/or professional development in teaching method.
Master’s degree in Theology and Sacred Scripture preferred
