participates in other aspects of the school community (i.e. athletics, committees)
Bachelor’s degree in Mandarin Chinese or World Language Education
MA or MEd highly desirable
Previous teaching experience (in an independent school setting a plus)
Experience developing and teaching a proficiency-based curriculum
Experience teaching AP Mandarin Language and Culture preferred
Has studied abroad in a Mandarin speaking country and/or traveled abroad with students
Demonstrates a minimum of Advanced Low Level on the ACTFL Oral Proficiency Scale by way of the OPI or Advanced Level Check (Non-native speaking candidates must provide documentation of their proficiency level or make arrangements to take the OPI.)
