Old Trail School is seeking a School Psychologist to serve on a comprehensive Support Services Team that includes a Director of Support Services (also a School Psychologist), two Learning Specialists, a Speech & Language Pathologist and a School Nurse.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conduct comprehensive psycho-educational assessments on the students in Kindergarten thru Grade Eight
Serve as support in ECP (Early Childhood Program) – Grade 2, providing functional behavioral analysis and teacher consultation
Coordinate school-wide screening for literacy, math and executive function profiles of students leading to remedial tutorial or academic enrichment support
Monitor the delivery/implementation fidelity of the small-group instructional support provided by the Learning Specialists and the recommendations for differentiated instruction.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with psycho-educational assessment and be familiar with current psychological and neuropsychological instruments. The candidate should also be facile with the creation of behavior plans and experienced with teacher consultation, particularly with a pre-school and early elementary school population. Excellent oral and written communication skills are critical. This role requires flexibility, creative problem-solving, and effective collaboration with teachers, administrators, students and parents. A solid grounding in child development is essential. MA or MS or Ed Spec in School Psychology required
Licensure from State of Ohio Board of Psychology preferred
At least 3-5 years of professional experience strongly preferred
