Position: 80% Middle School campus minister and service learning coordinator, Lower School Theology support and sacristan.

Job Summary The campus minister and service coordinator is responsible for providing a stimulating and developmentally appropriate educational environment in a way that is in accordance with the Goals and Criteria of a Sacred Heart education and the philosophy that implements it. This philosophy includes providing children opportunities to develop spiritual, cognitive, social, emotional, and physical skills.
Be a resource for students, faculty and parents to foster Goal I of a Sacred Heart education – a personal and active faith in God;
Collaborate with grade level teams to plan and lead one-day Middle School student retreats;
Collaborate with Middle School Theology teachers to plan and lead Middle School chapel services and Liturgies;
Collaborate with Lower School & Upper School campus minister to plan and lead all-school Liturgies and prayer services;
Create Middle School prayer services as needed to address events that occur unexpectedly;
Serve as sacristan for our Chapel;
Be creative in making Campus Ministry have a vibrant presence in the life of the Middle School;
Coordinate Middle School service learning program;
Create a supportive and caring environment in which students can learn and interact positively with one another;
Maintain an open and cooperative relationship with students, colleagues and parents;
Contribute to the life of the School outside the classroom;
Participate in faculty and departmental meetings and perform various faculty supervisory duties.
Qualifications The ideal candidate will have a graduate degree in Theology, Religious Studies or Youth Ministry. Roman Catholic Campus Ministry experience is a plus. Experience working with students at the Middle School level is preferred. The applicant must be a practicing Catholic in good standing in order to be eligible for this position.
