The Alumnae Engagement Director is responsible for managing and implementing a comprehensive alumnae engagement program designed to serve the entire Carondelet family by deepening alumnae engagement in the life of the School and working to ensure vitality and future success for Carondelet. The Alumnae Engagement Director manages the Alumnae Association Board and directs, plans, prepares and monitors alumnae activities, events, programs, and budget.
Summary of essential job functions
Serve as the primary representative of Carondelet High School to the alumnae population with the specific charge to excite and motivate alumnae to deepen their connection to the institution and to promote alumnae investment – via volunteerism and philanthropy – in the School.
Engage alumnae and alumnae constituencies on a daily basis, via email, phone, events or face-to-face meetings.
Develop and implement a comprehensive alumnae relations program that builds alumnae involvement and support.
Provide strategic management to the Alumnae Association Board and Chair to support programming and committees.
Develop and implement short- and long-term goals associated with alumnae events, activities, and programs and communicate their progress.
Create and manage a comprehensive 5-year anniversary (reunion) program. Partner with Carondelet’s alumni counterpart (De La Salle) to partner for maximum efficacy.
Utilize the Development database to provide up-to-date information on the School’s alumnae and to facilitate more productive and frequent contact.
Coordinate integration of the alumnae engagement program to benefit the operations of the Annual Fund. Work in partnership with the Annual Fund Director by identifying donor prospects, coordinating reunion gift strategies and other efforts to be defined.
Manage the Alumnae Association’s efforts with the planning and execution of all alumnae program events, including Visions of Christmas, Cougar Classic Golf Tournament, any Athletic Hall of Fame occasions, Chapter Events, reunions and special events with support from the Executive Director of Development. Attend all Alumnae events and Development events, as assigned, as a representative of the institution.
Manage the content and regular updates to the alumnae web site.
Participate in the production of the Carondeletter by contributing articles and newsworthy items relating to alumnae. Solicit and edit class news updates for the alumnae section of the Carondeletter.
Arrange for photographs at all alumnae events.
Work in partnership with the Annual Fund Director and the Executive Director of Development to develop donor cultivation strategies for all major gift prospects and participate in alumnae solicitations as appropriate.
Participate in Development, Admissions, and Communications team efforts as appropriate.

Some travel will be required from time to time
Technical/Management/Professional Responsibilities and Accountabilities
3-5 years of experience including development, alumni relations, or event planning; non-profit experience is preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and web-based research; ability to learn new software programs quickly
Experience with databases, CRM, and fundraising platforms such as Raiser’s Edge and Greater Giving
Excellent time management and attention to detail
Excellent writing and public speaking skills
Possesses tact and diplomacy regarding confidential information
Must have a valid driver’s license and vehicle liability insurance
Must have ability to use one’s own vehicle (mileage is reimbursed)
