St. Michael’s Country Day School is an independent day school in Newport, RI serving students in preschool through grade eight.
The school has opened a search for an Admissions Director.
The responsibilities of the Admissions Director include recruitment of mission appropriate students, admissions and enrollment management, and providing leadership for marketing initiatives and admissions events. He/she also serves as a member of the school’s administrative and advancement teams as well as the financial aid committee.
The school is seeking candidates who can demonstrate:
Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to work effectively with prospective and current families and students, as well as an experienced faculty, staff, and board;
The ability to engage various constituencies in celebration of the strengths and benefits of a St. Michael’s education;
Strong verbal and written communication skills;
An aptitude for technology and ability to work with databases.
Admissions Director candidates must have a bachelor’s degree and experience in admissions and marketing. Knowledge of an independent school culture is desirable.
