The Master's School is a non-denominational, Christian, college-preparatory day school enrolling boys and girls in preschool through grade 12. The school is located on a beautifully wooded 76-acre campus in West Simsbury, Connecticut serving families from more than 40 towns throughout the central Connecticut and southwestern Massachusetts areas.
The Master's School is seeking a qualified candidate to teach, plan, implement, and guide effective classroom learning in a designated selection of Chemistry, AP Chemistry, Physics, and other science courses in the Upper School.
Set appropriate and meaningful student learning goals
Effectively integrate educational technology with relevant learning experiences
Planning and Preparation
Demonstrate clear knowledge of science content as well as associated pedagogy at the high school level
Prepare appropriate instructional outcomes for individual learners within a college preparatory environment
Seek to cultivate a culture for learning
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Secondary Education with a Science focus or related field
Current teaching license and/or Association of Christian School International (ACSI) certification a plus
Competence in developing and implementing standards-based instruction in the high school classroom
Successful experience facilitating guided learning for high school students
