We are currently seeking a full-time digital video instructor for the 2019-2020 academic year. The responsibilities, to be finalized during the hiring process, will be based in part by a candidate’s expertise and input. This individual will teach four or five sections of video classes (full-time Tampa Prep teachers teach five sections) in the middle school and upper school. In addition, this position may require the instructor to oversee the filming and/or live streaming of special school events, including the occasional evening event, for distribution and/or marketing purposes. This person will also oversee the Video Arts Concentration, including the fulfillment of student responsibilities involved in the Concentration. Candidates will be expected to collaborate with others, demonstrate a mastery of classroom management techniques, and professionally oversee the digital video equipment and facilities. Applicants must have a high level of expertise in motion graphics software and possess a bachelors and/or an advanced degree in a related discipline.

A vision of a three-year sequence of upper school Digital Video courses.
A vision of a one-year or two-year sequence of Introduction to Digital Video in the middle school involving, in part, the use of iPads for filming and editing.
Ideas surrounding the filming of school events for distribution and marketing purposes.
