The Director of Weekend Services is responsible for supporting the student body in all areas of the weekend program. The position in EHS’s administration allows the appropriate candidate an opportunity to lead a department at a preeminent private, college-prep boarding school, and to directly impact the lives of 220 high school students with learning (dis)abilities.
Directs and supervises all aspect of the Weekend Program.
Provides support, guidance, annual reviews and supervision of weekend staff.
Enforces and maintains the established behavioral guidelines and policies of Eagle Hill School throughout the weekend.
Schedules and implements all off-campus weekend activities.
Carries out appropriate consequences and any written or verbal parental/faculty follow-up
Maintains written documentation of the overall weekend through a comment documentation system.
Reports all financial matters and accounting to Business Office.
Maintains all aspects of weekend budget and spending.
Provides crisis-intervention when needed.
Coordinates necessary transportation for students who wish to worship.
Works with maintenance department to monitor all school vehicle use.
Investigates and arranges on-campus entertainment for weekends.
Directs “Vacation Return-Days” and coordinates all necessary travel and pick ups.
Responsible for recruitment and hiring of weekend staff.
Advocates for and promotes the Eagle Hill School through business meetings, attendance at professional conferences, etc.
Maintains a safe and secure environment for all students and staff, enabling everyone remaining on campus for weekend to have an entertaining weekend, by providing both educational and social events, without losing the “supportive and structured” environment that enables the Eagle Hill Student to succeed.
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
Highly ethical, with the ability to deal with sensitive and confidential information.
Demonstrated knowledge of MS Office Suite
Possess a level of maturity and confidence necessary to deal effectively with faculty, parents, administrators, trustees and a high school age population
Appreciation for working with students diagnosed with a learning (dis)ability
Prompt and thoughtful follow-through
Bachelor’s degree required. Masters degree with focus on education, psychology or related field preferred
