Fort Worth Country Day is seeking an enthusiastic professional to serve as a Middle School History teacher beginning with the 2019-2020 school year. Reporting to the Head of Middle School, the ideal candidates will preferably have experience in both middle school and independent school education.

The 7th grade curriculum of American History covers the Colonial Period through the Civil War. Student “Reflections” and Socratic Seminars are utilized to encourage students to engage in critical thinking and analysis. The 8th grade World History curriculum covers early man through the Renaissance and Reformation. In both classes, the Middle School History teacher will teach students how to research and analyze information, while emphasizing the writing process.
A Bachelor’s Degree or higher
