Pinewood School is looking for a full time Teaching Associate to assist and support our STEM programs on our Lower and Middle Campuses (K-6) during the 2019/20 school year. This individual would work closely with the Technology Curriculum Coordinator, assisting them with direct instruction in our Coding classes, Design/Engineering classes, maker clubs, robotics clubs, and supervision of our iMaginarium Makerspace programs. In this role you would also support a number of diverse technology and maker ed focused efforts across the K-6 level through collaborative instruction with teachers in and outside the classroom. While the majority of this role will be on our Lower and Middle Campuses, there may be some limited need on our Upper Campus as well.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone with experience, background, or an aptitude for Technology, Computer Science, and Maker Education, as well as a desire to either gain further experience in the field of education or begin a career of their own as an educator.
Teaching Associates are full members of the Pinewood faculty community that work in an apprenticeship model with Faculty and Administrators. There is potential for continuation of the contract or expansion of this role in subsequent years for the right individual as our program evolves.
