The Boys’ Latin School of Maryland, an independent K-12 boys’ school in Baltimore, seeks a Director of Annual Giving to begin July 1, 2019. This position will report to the Assistant Headmaster for Advancement and will be responsible for the strategic execution and management of a comprehensive annual giving program to include:
Developing a coordinated matrix of communication and solicitation strategies involving email, direct mail, phone/mail, personal visitation and volunteer engagement, all focused on shaping a sustainable and growing annual fundraising program
Coordinating annual giving with reunion campaigns and other specialty constituents including parents, grandparents and alumni parents, in a sophisticated and effective fashion, with a focus on donor-base expansion
Managing a prospect pool with annual goals for personal visits, gift requests, and major donor qualification
Creating, developing and executing a highly effective and sustainable volunteer hierarchy
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree and at least three years of experience in development. Prior annual fund management experience is preferred. Experience working with Raiser’s Edge is required. Some regional travel will be required for donor visits and benchmarking with peer schools.
