The AfterCare Associate develops, implements, and oversees AfterCare at Bennett Day School. Bennett Day School is looking for team members who are deeply invested in a collaborative work environment. The goal is to enable participants to have a fun, age appropriate, and progressive experience in a safe and nurturing environment. The associate must have a passion to lead, supervise and motivate staff in a welcoming and positive environment.
Essential Job Functions:
Lead and manage AfterCare staff
Plan and run staff training in coordination with third party vendors
Monitor and keep track of registrations and billing
Organize and conduct participant arrival and dismissal along with check-in/check-out procedures
Establish and maintain a culture of first-class customer service with staff in responding to parent/client needs, inquiries, and issues
Cultivate and maintain relationships with families, students, campers, and staff through personal calls, emails, events, and other points of contact
Create and/or monitor communication to families
Maintain administrative detail of AfterCare. Responsible for ensuring the completion of paperwork such as schedules, inventories, daily schedules, staff evaluations, registration forms, etc.
Participate in family/community evening or weekend events to generate interest in Bennett Auxiliary Programs
Responsibilities are not all-inclusive and will include other duties as assigned
Required Education: Bachelor’s degree or working towards a degree is preferred
Experience with working at a camp or after school program
Passionate leader in the education field (early childhood and school age children)
Strong interpersonal and communication skills and a proven ability to juggle multiple high priority tasks
Experience or proven ability to working with various forms of technology and software (Google DOCs/Sheets/Forms, Quickbooks, Camp Software, FACTS)
Ability to research, design and implement afterschool programming for children
First Aid and CPR Certifi
The general expectations for hours are as follows with flexibility to shift depending on weekend or special events, etc.:
Daily Hours will be 10:00-6:00 M-F
One week off during Winter Recess
One week off during either February or April Recess.
One week off during the Summer
Summer Hours TBD Based on needs of business
Other Job Duties:
Physical strength to independently lift 10-25 lbs
Ability to oversee and ensure the safety of children
