Walsingham Academy seeks a full-time Upper SchoolSpanish Teacher for the 2019-2020 academic year. The teacher is responsible for providing daily instruction to students enrolled in Spanish course. Walsingham offers Spanish I, II, III, IV, and AP. Specific courses will be based on past instructional experience.
Work closely with members of the faculty and administration to support the educational, social and emotional development of students
Communicate proactively and effectively with parents
Participate as an active member of teaching teams to support curriculum development and integration
Work closely with teaching team members and school counselors to identify and address student learning needs
Model excellent problem solving and project management skills and a commitment to viewing challenges as problems that can be solved rather than obstacles that cannot be overcome
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Spanish or related fields
Bilingual and fluent (writing and speaking) in English and Spanish
Experience teaching at the high school level
Excellent classroom management, communication and organizational skills
Ability to teach students with diverse learning styles
Ability to manage new initiatives from concept to completion
