Walsingham Academy seeks a full-time Upper SchoolHistory Teacher for the 2019-2020 academic year. The teacher is responsible for providing daily instruction to students enrolled in History course.
Walsingham Academy teachers are responsible for delivering high quality instruction in the content area. They plan, prepare, and deliver lessons with rigor and relevance. Additionally, they create and analyze formative and summative assessments to differentiate instruction, inform programming, and accommodate individual student and whole group needs. In addition to the core academic curriculum, Walsingham teachers are responsible for supporting the development of students’ social & emotional learning and wellness to ensure a whole child approach is taken to student development. Walsingham teachers must demonstrate a high degree of personal and professional integrity as all teaches are considered role models for our students.
Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education
Most hold or eligible for Virginia teaching certificate.
Demonstrated successful high school math instruction experience.
Walsingham Academy desires candidates who are “all in” and are interested in actively engaging with student activities beyond the classroom in a variety of extra-curricular opportunities.
