St. David’s School is currently seeking a Lower School learning specialist. The role involves partnering individually with students in grades Pre-K through 4 and instructing the faculty in evidenced based practices to assist with student interventions. The ideal candidate will be a talented, energetic professional who will inspire young students with diverse learning needs and meet these needs using multiple modalities and an understanding of their individual strengths and weaknesses.
A Master’s degree with specialization in Special Education and a minimum of three-years of experience is desired. Also, certification in Wilson Reading, experience with progress monitoring tools like DIBELS and familiarity with special screening tools (e.g. GORT, Brigance, etc.) are preferred.
