Nativity School is a PS-8 school in Menlo Park, CA. Nativity School is seeking dynamic and innovative upper elementary school (Grades 3-5) teachers who set high expectations for academic excellence, are committed to social-emotional learning, and incorporate the latest educational approaches into the curriculum. As a Homeroom Teacher, the applicant will be required to teach language arts, social science, science, math, and religion and to facilitate school-wide social emotional learning initiatives. Collaborating teachers teach Spanish, music, art, physical education, and library.
STRONG CANDIDATES POSSESS:
Commitment to Nativity School’s Mission and Philosophy.
Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a relatedfield required; Master’s Degree preferred.
Valid California teaching credential or acquire within five years of hire date of hire.
Experience as a lead teacher in grades 3-6.
Obvious passion for teaching; strong teaching ability; enjoy working with children.
Design academically challenging, appropriately differentiated learning experiences and curricula and use a wide range of authentic assessment strategies.
Use thoughtful technology integration to expand learning opportunities and create a collaborative learning environment.
Cultivate a growth mindset in self and students.
Commitment to excellence, rigor and a culture of innovation.
Excellent classroom management.

Additional Salary Information: Salary is determined per the San Francisco Archdiocesan Salary Scale. This is a Full-time, exempt, with benefits position that reports to the Principal from August 2019 to June 2020.
