The Langley School is seeking to fill the position of Middle School Administrative Assistant. This position is responsible for supporting the Head of Middle School. This is a position that requires independence, sound judgment and discretion. It requires an ability to work with multiple constituencies and exercise patience and understanding consistent with the mission of the school. A deep commitment to students and their growth is a must.
This is a 12-month exempt position that includes a generous benefit package.
Essential functions, duties and responsibilities:
Consistently supports and acts in accordance with the school’s mission and values
Ensure the safety and well-being of students
Utilization of and data retrieval from school databases
Responsible for relevant student recordkeeping
Track, monitor, and follow-up on student attendance.
Proof, print, and mail report cards as specified by division requirements.
Track, process, and mail student as defined by individual divisions: student supplemental files: recommendation forms, letters, transcripts
Historical record of high school placement
Manage administrative concerns for the division including office equipment, building maintenance, and office supplies
Maintain student files and emergency binders
Maintain and reconcile division finances
Plan, prepare, and execute graduation including preparation for the reception, invitation and set up.
Upholds professional standards of personal presentation, punctuality, professional courtesy, and discretion
Work a daily schedule that begins no later than 7:45 A.M.
Edit MS Communications at the discretion of MS HEAD
May be asked to perform operational school duties
Other administrative duties as assigned by supervisor and/or head of school
