The primary focus of the Auxiliary Program Coordinator will be to manage all aspects of the current after school program. They will play a vital role in maintaining, growing and researching alternative revenue sources, as well as, increasing community awareness of Park Street School. This position will report directly to the school’s COO/CFO and will oversee facility rentals and other events as assigned by his/her supervisor.
Organize and manage all auxiliary program logistics, such as schedules, instructors, supply requests, and other programmatic needs.
Identify and hire instructors and staff for all Auxiliary Programs and necessary coverage.
Attend fairs/conferences, coordinate marketing of auxiliary programs and represent PSS at different functions.
Register participants, price and invoice programs, process all fees and manage collections.
Maintain accurate records for all staff, students, incident/accident reports, and other required documentation.
Conduct observations; assess and evaluate staff on a consistent basis and address concerns as they arise.
Ensure safety and security of children enrolled and handle student issues as they arise.
Build and maintain positive relationships with all stakeholders (participants, parents, school staff and administration), to facilitate overall positive after-school/summer culture. This includes:
Evaluate demand for student after school and summer programs.
Analyze student participation in activities.
Gather and analyze input from stakeholders on the quality of the experience.
Serve as a point of contact for parents, students, faculty, staff and contractors.
Work with CFO to manage budget/profit goals for bottom line performance and to ensure profitability.
Facilitate and coordinate rental of school facilities to outside organizations.
Qualifications of a Strong Candidate:
At least a Bachelor's degree.
Self-initiator who can see and meet needs and is not afraid to “roll up their sleeves” and jump in.
Gentle yet firm approach with students in managing behavior and expectations.
Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational and time management skills.
Provide excellent customer service through timely and effective written and personal communication.
Ability to create and maintain a fun, caring, and responsive educational environment.
Confidence and creativity to market and grow programs through a variety of venues.
Salary & Benefits
This is a part-time, 10-month position, Monday through Friday, 1-6 PM. Salary is commensurate with experience, with a very competitive benefit package.
