Job Purpose Provide those who are new to teaching an introduction to a career in education in a highly supportive environment. To serve as a positive role model for Grand River Academy students helping them fulfill their academic potential.
Duties and responsibilities Including, but not limited to: • Teaching two sections within your discipline; with the opportunity to teach more sections as the need arises. • Working with assigned Mentor/Teacher in your field • Serves as a substitute teacher when needed
Work Hours: In addition to teaching: • Works three-weekday duties per week • Works every other weekend • Supervises an afternoon activity Monday - Thursday
• Bachelors degree or higher from an accredited institution • Permanent Non-Tax Certificate issued by the State of Ohio • Successful completion of a T-8 physical and a valid drivers license • Successful completion of a background and drug screen • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Proficiency in PowerPoint, Word and other computer skills, is required • Ability to work easily with the GRA community, including faculty, students, fellow staff, etc.
Additional Salary Information: $12,500 over 19 pay periods
